The construction of Disney's Animal Kingdom's new Pueblo Esperanza district is well underway, with the Encanto ride building taking center stage. But here's where it gets controversial... While the steel framework has been steadily growing over the past few weeks, some fans are already speculating about the ride's plot and its departure from the original story. And this is the part most people miss... The Encanto ride will feature a Casita facade and will be set during the film, but it will go beyond the original story, adding new elements and twists. The building's interior is currently being constructed with steel poles, which may be the beginnings of walls. Crew members were working on the interior when we took pictures on Thursday. The ride is part of the new Pueblo Esperanza, which will replace DinoLand U.S.A. and officially close in early February with the permanent closures of DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus. Pueblo Esperanza, including the Encanto ride and an Indiana Jones ride, is scheduled to open in 2027. So, what do you think? Are you excited about the new ride or do you think it's a missed opportunity? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
